What is MeasureCamp?
MeasureCamp is an unconference that started nearly a decade ago in London and has quickly spread around the globe. The schedule is created on the day of the event and speakers are fellow attendees. Everyone is encouraged to lead a session themselves based on a topic that is relevant to the analytics community. You focus on what YOU find most interesting and useful.
What is an unconference?
Unlike traditional conference, we do not book any speakers! We have a blank session board and any attendee is welcome to add their talk to an open session slot.
Who attends?
Anyone interested in digital analytics is welcome to attend! This includes seasoned analytics pros from the client side or agency side, vendors from analytics platforms, new folks to the industry, students, career changers, etc.
What should I expect on the day of?
Expect lots of learning, discussions, networking, coffee, food, swag, and even some entertainment!
Where is MeasureCamp Chicago?

What’s the schedule for the day?
Registration, networking, and breakfast start at 9am.
Opening remarks start at 10am and then the session board will open for attendees to add their talks.
There will be seven 25-minute sessions starting at 10:30am and wrapping up at 4:30pm, with a morning break, lunch break, and afternoon break.
After the closing remarks, stay for a MeasureCamp-themed Family Fued game to end the official event, and then head to the After Party across the street at Flight Club.
Visit the “Schedule” page for more details.
Are there any additional events happening outside of MeasureCamp?
Our official After Party will happen right after MeasureCamp ends on Saturday – head over to Flight Club at 111 W. Wacker.
On Friday evening, you can join MeasureCamp organizers at Chicago Brewhouse (33 East Riverwalk). Look for us under “MeasureCamp Chicago.” We’ve got space reserved starting at 8 PM, just bring yourself (and pick up your own tab).
You can also join Dim Sum X the night before at Ming Hin in Chinatown.
I don’t know anyone else attending MeasureCamp, who can I eat lunch with?
You can join one of the “Birds of a Feather” discussions in the session rooms. Check the session board for topics, pick the one that interests you, and have a conversation with your peers.
There will also be open seating during lunch in the Publicis Sapient room.
Will MeasureCamp be canceled due to current events?
The safety and well-being of all volunteers and attendees remain our highest priority. We are monitoring credible news outlets for updates on federal activity. Should there be any announcements that impact safetly in the Loop and around downtown, we will make a timely decision guided by our commitment to safety. We appreciate your patience and always encourage everyone to make their own individual decisions based on their well-being and personal safety.
Where should I park?
Check iParkIt.com or SpotHero.com for parking options nearby.
The venue is also very easy to get to via Public Transit – it is within 1 block of the Clark/Lake Stop (Blue Line) and the State/Lake Stop (Red, Brown, Green, Orange, Pink Lines). Additionally, multiple bus routes stop within a few blocks. You can check Google Maps for directions.
I’m presenting – what do I need to bring?
Just your laptop with your slides if you need it to present!
Every room will have at least one 65” or bigger TV screen as well as dongles for connection to MACs and PCs. Rooms with more than 24 seats will have a microphone that you can choose to use.
Who can present?
Anyone can present at MeasureCamp! Some folks bring a prepared talk – something they’ve presented before or are preparing for another event. Other folks lead discussions or roundtables. Other folks bring a question or topic related to a challenge they are facing to brainstorm with other attendees.
Your format can be traditional conference-style learning/teaching, it can be a list of ideas to share, a hands-on lab, a roundtable discussion, a support group, or a fun activity. As long as it’s relevant to analytics, anything goes! Remember, this is an “uncoference.” Don’t assume you have to follow a traditional conference session format.
How can I present?
After the opening remarks, we will announce that the session board will open – at that point, anyone can add their filled-out session card to an open slot. You can add your card until we run out of open slots!
Feel free to print up and fill out your session card at home and bring it with you, or we will have blank cards and markers available for you the day of the event. Check the “Attendee Resources” page for the card.
